trick or treat

Each year, we get to "help" Daddy & Mommy pick out our costumes for Halloween.  This year, we went as a family to party city and explored all our options for costumes.  I (Averie) knew I wanted to be Jasmine (from the movie, Aladdin...yes, my 3rd year being a Disney princess), & Brady knew he wanted to a hero from Avengers.  Brecken just went along with the fun.  I picked Jasmine (or the closest thing they had to it), and Brady decided to be the Hulk, his fave from the movie.  When Brecken saw Captain America, he screamed in excitement.  So, we held out all different costumes for him, and he kept picking Captain America.  Plus, Brady really wanted him to be another Avenger.  So, Halloween arrived, and we all became Jasmine, The Hulk, and Captain America...and we were super cute!!

(is he not stinkin' adorable?)

Each year, we make a Mexican Chili (Enchilada Soup), go trick or treating, and enjoy time with family and friends. This year, Uncle Todd & Aunt Helen and Uncle Michael and Aunt Courtney (& their kids) joined us for the fun.  So, here we all are...oldest to youngest.

 "Trick or Treat"
Brayden loved pulling Brady & Brecken around...stopping at each house.
Brecken finally got the hang of it after the first few houses.  He would get to the door by the time we all had a chance to get our treats, he would smile at the neighbor and hold out his hand...or go digging in their candy bowl.  It was so cute!  He would just hold onto as much candy as possible from house to house...He loved it!  We all did!
 A happy Captain America...
Halloween 2012

Mommy got to enjoy a wonderful girl's weekend with one of her dearest friends.  We love Joy, and we are so thankful to have her in our lives.  She & Mommy stayed in Charlotte and enjoyed 2 1/2 days of shopping, spa treatments, sleeping, laughing, talking, playing games, and eating!
A big "thanks" to Daddy (& Oma) for taking such good care of us while Mommy was away!

brady's fall festival

I had a fun time at my preschool's fall festival.  We got to decorate pumpkins, play games, jump in a bounce house, get tatoos, color pictures, and play with play-doh.  It was a super fun fall festival.  I am glad that Mommy & Brecken could join in on the fun!

tae kwon do

So, I (Brady) wasn't sure what activity I wanted to take part in this fall, but when Mommy got a flyer in the mail for a package deal for a one month trial class with a uniform for $9.95, we decided to give Tae Kwon Do a try.  I am really enjoying it.  I go 2 times a week and meet with Master Kang, my black belt instructor.  He has been teaching me all sorts of things, and I love it.  Daddy & Mommy hope that, if I decide to keep taking the class, I will continue to build self-confidence, strength, & discipline.
Am I not adorable in my uniform?
Oh, and that black writing on my shirt is my name in Korean...so cool!

fall fun

Fall is a wonderful time of year.  We enjoy lots of family activities during this season.  One of our favorites is going to the pumpkin patch.  This year, we headed to Riverbend Farm again in Midland, NC.  We enjoyed our usual pics on the pumpkin, playing on the farm equipment, taking a tractor ride, picking pumpkins, playing on the playgrounds (including a really long tunnel slide that all the kiddies enjoyed), and eating a picnic lunch.  The weather was beautiful, and we had a fun day!
