Last week, we got to take a little "field trip" to the Greensboro Children's Museum. We met Mommy's college roommate, Mrs. Eadie, & her 3 children there. We had the BEST time hanging out together, exploring through all the fun areas of the museum, and eating a packed lunch together. What a fun day!
Here am I with Marlowe (Mrs. Eadie's oldest)...we became instant friends and had a great time playing together!
Here is Brady with Owen. They are about 10 weeks apart. Off we go to explore...
First stop...the marketplace. It was a kid-sized grocery store...filled with buggies, food, cash registers, and so much more. Brady enjoyed filling his buggy with all sorts of fruit...

Marlowe is checking me out...and I paid her with the cash that I had.

Then, I got to be the cashier when Nathan came to purchase his groceries.
Right now, being a cashier ranks in my top 3 for most wanted job for me when I grow up! :)
I had great fun shopping in the market also...picking out the best produce, choosing the right detergent, and getting the healthy cereals for my family!
Brady is parking his buggy after his grocery shopping is complete. He got some great items!
Then, it was time to move to another activity area...the camping grounds. Here, Marlowe & I are inside the tent "reading" lots of books about camping and insects. (Well, Marlowe is really reading...)

Meanwhile, Brady learned about how to get fresh water and use a lantern! :)
On to the next area...the medical center. This, along with the marketplace and the house, was one of my favorite places to be. They had an operation table, dentist office, and a NICU filled with lots of babies, bassinets, clothes, bottles, and strollers. I was in my happy place...and I LOVED it!
While I was busy with the babies, Brady was "taking calls" as they came in to the dentist office. He would pick up the phone...

...put it to his ear and say "Dadda" everytime. (At home, he loves calling Daddy every day while Daddy is at work!)
The next activity...the house. This was another favorite. We set the table, cooked food, and got eggs from the chickens outside our house...all with a baby on my hip and a smile on my face!
Brady was busy with the "outdoors" part of the house...the picnic table and grilling out!
We went through a few other activity areas...construction zone, theater, and a 3 & under play area...and they were all so much fun also. Then, we decided to take a break for lunch. After our lunch, we took some pictures in this big red chair before heading to explore some more. It was so much fun! This is all of us...Nathan, me, Owen, Marlowe, & Brady...ranging in ages from 14 months to 6 years! Such a fun group!
Mommy loved the various facial expressions in the 2 pictures :)

Back to exploring...next stop...the weather area. We got to look at maps, weather, and all sorts of fun stuff. Here is Nathan...cute as can be!
And, Brady...well, he is back to cooking for everyone again! Right now, we think he wants to be a chef when he gets older!
Next stop...post office. Here we got to address and stamp envelopes, mail them, and sit in a postal truck. We also got to do this fun activity...rubbing the crayon on the paper and an object appears on the paper. Mommy had fun showing me how it all worked!

Brady is watching tv in the 3 & under play area...he got to get up close and personal with the tv.
Next stop...a huge transportation area...airplanes, trains, race car, police car, firetruck, sailboat, etc. It was fun climbing in all these fun modes of transportation. Here is Nathan flying the plane.
And, if the chef thing doesn't work out for Brady, he could always pilot a plane too...
...and I could be the happy flight attendant...
...and maybe sneak into the cockpit and take over as the pilot! Can you see me?
Brady loved playing the sand by the sailboat.
They were roommates for 3 years in college...
after their Junior year, Mrs. Eadie got married!
And, if the cashier job or the flight attendant/pilot career doesn't work out, I could always drive a fire truck as well. I do like helping people!

There were other activity areas also...like a pizza diner and more! We had so much fun, and we hope to go back in the next few months. We could have spent another few hours in there! What a great way to spend the day...and Mommy said it made it even better that we got to share it with Mrs. Eadie and her children also.
