Merry Christmas!

Here we are...Brady & me...on Christmas Eve. Daddy & Mommy always let us open one present on Christmas Eve...our Christmas jammies. Then, we put them on and get to wear them all Christmas Day.

Brady didn't really want to take pictures...obviously!

Just for something different this year, Poppy, Nana, Uncle Blair, Aunt Blip Blip, and McKinly came over on Christmas Eve evening to celebrate Christmas. Normally, they would come on Christmas Day, but this worked out better! We got to eat dinner, open gifts, and watch our traditional "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." It was a fun night...even though we are all still so very sad about not having Opa here!

Daddy & me...his baby girl!

Brady clapping to the music...

...while I jam on Brady's guitar!

I had so much fun opening gifts...

Thanks, Uncle Blair & Aunt Blip Blip, for the My Little Pony nursery!

Brady had fun opening gifts, too. He just didn't go as fast as I did!

But, he did love his gifts. This one had Mickey Mouse on it, so his lips are saying, "Mickey."

He sat on the coffee table most of the night and played with each toy!

Me with my Poppy & Nana!

Brady with his musical book from Poppy & Nana.

Then, when we weren't looking, Brady got a candy cane from off the tree, sat down in one of the chairs, and just admired it...

Meanwhile, I opened one of my gifts from Poppy & Nana...a Polly Pocket Roller Coaster. I was super excited! I even said, "This is the one I saw in the store."

Then, we looked back over at Brady, and he managed to open the candy cane and start sucking on it. It was too funny!

We quickly distracted him by opening another gift from Poppy & Nana...a top. He loved watching it go round and round.

McKinly also loved the puzzle we gave him.

Brady...still on the coffee table playing with toys!

He got to open his gift from Uncle Blair and Aunt Blip, and as you can tell from his face, he was pretty excited about it...a Diego doctor kit!

He loves the sounds it makes!

Then, Brady enjoyed putting it all on...

...and then putting it on Daddy!

Happy me...playing with some of my new toys!Daddy & Brady playing with Brady's new safari airplane!

We had a fun night, and we got to stay up late. It was about 10:30 when the movie was over, but I had fallen asleep while watching it. Good thing my cookies were all ready for Santa. (I made the cookies myself...the same ones that I had made for my Opa a few weeks ago!) I think Daddy was tired, too! We were both asleep!

Merry Christmas...We awoke Christmas morning and ran downstairs to see if Santa had eaten our cookies. He had taken a few bites, so Brady & I got to finish the cookies left...even before breakfast! :) We loved that!

Yummy!

Then, Brady saw the toy that Santa had left him...a motorcycle! He LOVED it! (Check out his smile to show his excitement!) In fact, he loved it so much that Daddy & Mommy had to pry him off of it just to open any of his other gifts. He rode on it all morning...and hasn't stopped since then!

After seeing what Santa brought Brady (mine were wrapped under the tree), we enjoyed eating breakfast, reading the Christmas story in Luke 2, praying together as a family, and then opening gifts. Here are Daddy & Brady opening gifts...a family DVD!

Mommy & Brady opening gifts...Brady's wooden puzzle!

Brady enjoys puzzles, too...just not as much as his motorcycle right now!

A gift for Daddy & me...Mommy says that Daddy can instill his love for Monopoly in me rather than Mommy now! :)

And...guess where Brady is during this time...on his motorcycle!

I loved getting some food for my kitchen. (I didn't know that Santa had brought Brady & me a new kitchen yet!)And, I was super excited to get a Leapster as well!

Daddy & Brady going through Brady's stocking full of goodies!

Brady's favorite gift in his stocking was his automatic toothbrush. He had it in his mouth for a good 5 minutes. We were wondering if his tongue had any feeling left in it, but he loved it...even using it after having a few m&m's! It was funny!

Me opening my stocking full of goodies...and getting a gift card was lots of fun!

We each got a small tin of m&m's in our stocking, so Daddy let us have a few that morning...yummy!

Daddy loved his stocking, too!

(Mommy loved hers, too, but she didn't really feel like having any pictures of her taken this year! It was a tough day without Opa here!)

After opening our gifts and stockings, we headed upstairs...there, in our playroom, we saw what Santa had brought Brady & me (other than the motorcycle for Brady and leapster for me)...our new kitchen! We were super excited, and when we are home, we play with it all the time!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

(We will be celebrating with Mommy's side of the family in January!)

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

On Friday, December 18, it snowed and iced throughout the day. I loved just watching the snow fall. It snowed 3 different times for about 20 minute increments, and it was so pretty!

Too bad you can't see the snow in the background...but I was still smiling!

here comes santa claus...

On Thursday, December 17, Mommy took me to swim with Santa at Ray's Splash Planet (indoor water park in Charlotte). We went with our friends, Mrs. Dorothy & Ella. It was a great time! We got to take our picture with him, swim with him, and hug him a lot. We loved it!

Here I am...comparing "bellies" with Santa.

Walking with Santa to his chair...

Telling him all I'd like for Christmas...

Me with my good friend, Ella.

Santa and me

"Santa, I'd really like a new kitchen for our playroom."

Time to swim...

...& having fun...

And...even Mommy took her picture with Santa.

(She knows this Santa from church.)

Santa swimming in the water...that made me laugh so hard. He even went down the big waterslide.

I thought I'd give him a little push.

We were loving this!

Me going on the lazy river for the first time by myself!

After an hour of non-stop swimming, I stopped for a quick picture with my Mommy. I am not crying...this is just what my eyes looked like after swimming so much (& underwater also). Sure was a great time!
