poor little nose

So...tough day for me!
While having a playdate at my Uncle Todd & Aunt Helen's house, I was running around their basement.  I didn't see a toy by the steps, tripped over it, and landed nose first on their wooden staircase.  At first, only a little blood came out...and some tears!  But, about 5 minutes later, the bridge of my nose turned purple & green.  After Daddy coming to look at it and talking to a doctor over the phone, Mommy took me the ER.  A few x-rays and such later, it was (surprisingly!) not broken.  Either way, it was just going to be a few days of bruising and swelling...and then finally healing!  But, those first few days, I looked really rough!  But, thankfully, I handled it well, and now, I am all better!

Here I am at the ER...you can see the purple around the bridge of my nose...and the green and swelling all around it...
And...this is me the next morning...OUCH!!  The swelling went over my eyes in some spots, but I was still smiling.  Just felt weird, so I am glad it lasted only 5 days! After that, I was good as new!  Yay!
My poor little nose...now all better!

happy father's day to daddy

We loved being able to celebrate Daddy all day long.  We love him so much, and we are so thankful that God has given us such a wonderful Daddy!

Daddy's gifts & cards awaited him when he woke up...but he had to wait until after church to open them!
After a yummy breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts & a great church service, we headed out to Bravo's for lunch...loved it!  Here is Daddy & Brecken...

Brecken was so excited to finally hold baby Madison.  He kept signing "please" to Aunt Helen and pointing to Madison.  So, he got to hold her...and he was all smiles.  He was very gentle with her and gave her a hug and a kiss.  It was too sweet!

superman = stitches

So, I (Brady) love pretending I am superman.  And, usually, I am really good at it...flying from couch to coffee table & chair to coffee table.  (We have a leather top coffee table!)  Well, as I was attempting to be Superman again, I tripped on the ottoman and missed the top of the coffee table.  Instead, my landing was my head hitting the wooden leg of the coffee table.  As a result, my head gaped right open!  After assessing the damage, Mommy took me to the doctor's office, and they gave me 5 stitches in my head!  It hurt really badly, so the ice cream afterwards really helped me.  So, here I am...5 stitches and all...
...BUT, I am still smiling!
And, I can't wait to be Superman again...soon! :)

family night

We love family nights.  On this family night, we went bowling & played video games before enjoying dinner at Chili's.  We are so thankful for family and spending time together!  What a fun night!

Brecken and me...racing to the finish!
Brady & me...ready to bowl!
I picked out a pink bowl, of course.
Brady was super excited to bowl!
He even got a strike...with the help of the gutter guards, of course!

Brecken loved watching...and running around the bowling alley when he could...
We LOVE family nights, and we look forward to more of those in the summer!

a day of celebration....kindergarten graduation

Well, the day has finally come...Mommy's first kindergarten graduation.  I was super excited to graduate kindergarten, & Daddy & Mommy were so proud of me.  I LOVE school, but I am excited to become a first grader!  What a great year I had...learning lots of Bible verses, doing lots of Math, and learning how to read.  I also loved playing with fellow classmates and giving my teacher hugs every day.  What a great year!

The stage...
Us on stage after receiving our diplomas.  We had an adorable program singing songs, saying our pledges, reciting a poem, & saying our Bible verses A-Z, but Mommy's camera took all dark pics.  But, we do have a few videos that show my exciting performance.  I loved the stage and sang my heart out!
