OBX ~ day 5

Thursday was another rainy & cloudy day, so we decided to go the NC Aquarium that morning. We loved seeing all the beautiful fish, turtles, see otters, & more...oh, and picking out a book in the gift shop. Here I am with a frog...ready to look at all the animals!
Mommy with her "babies"

Check out the turtle...it's on my right! I liked looking at that almost as much as I liked chewing my bubble gum! :)
Almost a perfect family picture...I thought it would be "fun" to keep my eyes closed! :)
Mommy thinks this picture is so funny...and so typical. Never fails that someone is always entertaining at least one of the grandkids...and not looking at the camera! :)
Daddy showing Brady some fish
Mommy leaning over with Brady by the "pool" of stingrays. She was nervous about touching the stingrays, & Brady thought it would be fun to splash in it, so they didn't stay there long! :)
Then, I had my turn with Daddy...
We didn't touch the stingrays, but we did get to touch the starfish!
Mommy with her kiddies again!

And, of course...always time for one more family picture...this time, I kept my eyes open!
It cleared up long enough for go outside & "dig" for animals' teeth. Brady liked just digging, but I did find a really small tooth with my Daddy!
One cute little boy!

That same cute little boy with his Poppy...
...and this precious little girl with her Nana!
Afterwards, we ate lunch at this diner, & it was yummy!
That night, we ate dinner out by the ocean. The food wasn't very yummy, but the view was gorgeous! Here are my Daddy & Mommy!

OBX ~ the last day

Our last day involved taking some pictures on the beach, taking some family pictures on the balcony of the house we stayed in, packing the car, & heading home. We sure had a great time!

the daily grind...and we love it!

Here we are...just chillin' out at home...enjoying our few days at home before heading to the beach!

Me & Brady Boy

Just Me...Happy Me!

And, though Brady may not like that Mommy did this, she did take a picture of him throwing a fit...over not getting to hold the pepper container. It was leaking and she didn't want pepper everywhere. He just wasn't content with Mrs. Dash...he needed the pepper too! :) :)

A close-up...he's kinda cute when throwing a fit, huh? :)

Then...a new day...a happy Brady! He just loves sitting on the first step...right off the kitchen. He eats his snack there...puts his shoes on there (with Mommy's help, of course!)...and sometimes, just plays there!

Meanwhile, I enjoy just climbing on the counter (usually so Brady doesn't get my crayons and try to eat them) and coloring. Coloring is one of my new favorite activities...it's so much fun!

mommy hits the "big apple"

Our Aunt Courtney turned the big 3-0 this past weekend, and she wanted to celebrate by going to New York City. So, Mommy, Aunt Kelly, & Aunt Helen went with her to celebrate. Mommy says they had a REALLY fun weekend...she was gone for 3 1/2 days. Daddy took such good care of us while Mommy was away...but he didn't take any pictures. So, here are a few that Mommy took while she was away.
Once they got to their hotel room, Mommy attempted this first group picture before leaving for dinner...what a cute group!
Each day was spent with lots of shopping, walking, eating, talking, & laughing. From Macy's & Bloomingdales to China Town & the subway, it was a really fun time. Here they all got "make-overs" by the ladies at Bare Escentuals. Mommy said it was so much fun...and they all turned out quite lovely! (Don't they look great for having shopped for over 6 hours, including China Town, and walked through various bouts of rain?)
The night of Aunt Courtney's birthday, they went to eat at a very yummy authentic Italian restaurant. They took this picture right before walking in...
Mommy said it was such a great trip. Spending 7 hours in Macy's (7 stories of shopping) was a huge highlight, getting make-overs was fun, having dessert every night after dinner was yummy...but in the end, it was just having a girl's weekend away was the best part.

fun in the (very hot) sun

So, it's been raining all day today...BUT, yesterday it wasn't, so Mommy took us to the Village Park in Kannapolis. We met up with our friends, Ella & Reece, and their mommy, Mrs. Dorothy. It was a really fun morning. The park had a splash grounds there that we enjoyed for several hours. Enjoy the proof of our fun below... :)

Here am I, Brady Boy...and yes, still attached to this little yellow shovel from the beach. Now that I am walking really well, I had a great time just walking around the splash pad...playing in the water...and holding on to my shovel!

And, here is my sister, Averie...having a great time also!
She had fun playing in all the water sprayers...
...and so did I!
I am trying to play in the water...and admire my sister! She makes me smile a lot! (Can you see my smile in this picture?)
She came over to play with me...
...and that was fun!
I am enjoying another "fountain" of water...
...and staying cool!
Averie playing... ...and getting under the fountain of water...it looked so cool!
Surrounding the water part was a huge playground and a train that went by. Each time the train went by, I would turn towards it and wave!
Then, it was back to playing in the water.
Once again, Averie had me laughing at her. She is one funny sister!
Then, she "helped" me walk around to the other side. She loves helping out!A quick smile for Mommy...
...then back to playing!
Mommy "caught" me walking around like this...just a happy little boy with my thumb in my mouth!
This was one of Mommy's favorite pics of me of the day...obviously having so much fun!
And, Averie always has smiles to share!
After lunch, Averie & Ella enjoyed having a Cherry Icee. They shared some with me & Reece (Ella's little sister), but they really enjoyed it themselves!
Good buddies...Ella & Averie
Averie enjoys having her picture taken!
After we got all dried off and dressed, we got to take a ride on the train that I was waving to. It was a really fun ride for me...
...and for Averie. And, it was a great way to end a really fun day!
