Fun in the Sun at Myrtle Beach

Here we are at Mrytle Beach. My Mommy's side of the family takes an annual trip to the beach every year, and we had a fun time. I enjoyed playing with my cousins, and Brady enjoyed napping in the sun :)

My brother, Brady, is ready for the beach...actually, he just goes down to the beach with us, lays under the umbrella, and takes a nice nap.

Meanwhile, I, on the other hand, get to play in the sand, swim in the water with my Daddy & cousins, and swim in the pool. I loved it!

And, I enjoyed getting water from the ocean and pouring it in all the holes my cousins dug!
And, looking for seashells was also so fun! I even picked one for my brother!!

Meanwhile, Mommy & Brady sat along the edge and watched me. Well, Brady slept (of course) & Mommy watched and took lots of pictures!

Me & My Big Sister

Well, we haven't fought yet over who gets to "write" on the blog since we haven't really shared a post yet. So, here we are...who gets to do it? Well, I get to do it since I'm younger...isn't that how it goes? :)

Here I am with my big sister, Averie. She sure loves to hold me and kiss me. She plays really well when Mommy is feeding me and changing me or while I'm napping. But, once we are both awake, it's a busy time for Mommy. Averie says she can't wait to play with me when I'm a little older. I think I'll feel the same way.

She likes to just watch me too...and if Daddy & Mommy are talking to me, she does the same thing. Averie even calls me the same little nicknames like Daddy & Mommy do!

We are leaving for the beach tomorrow, and we are very excited about going. Averie says that when she & Daddy go and pick seashells, that I can have one. Isn't that so sweet?

Just Brady...

Can you believe that I am almost 2 weeks old? It's sure been so great being at home, playing with my sister, eating, and sleeping. I am growing like a weed!! I had my doctor's appointment today, and I weighed 11 pounds, 14 ounces and I was 23 1/2 inches long...so I am 9 ounces past my birth weight and I have grown 1 1/4 inches...so, needless to say, my measurements are "off the charts." (Well, my head is at 97%, but it's pretty close :)) I am doing great...healthy and happy.

My First Bath

It's time for my first bath (well, my umbilical cord hasn't fallen off yet, so it's my first "sponge" bath at home). I LOVED it!

Here, Daddy is talking to me (my first pep talk) about my bath. Daddy & Mommy also kept my diaper on for most of the bath as they have learned several times already what happens when my diaper is off for too long! :)

One of the only issues about not knowing if I was a boy or a girl was not being able to buy a few things before my birth. So, of course, I just used some of my big sister's things. However, this did present a little problem when taking a bath...I had to use my sister's PINK washcloth. Oh well...I'll never remember that! :)

I sure loved my bath! I was wide awake and excited!

Then, to wash my hair, Daddy held me under the kitchen faucet. Daddy & Mommy thought I'd scream, but I was so relaxed and absolutely LOVED it!

Of course, taking a bath is exhausting, so after about 5 seconds of "tummy time," I completely wiped out. What a fun bath!

My First Full Day at Home

Good morning to me. This is my first morning at my house. I had a great night...up every 3 hours to eat and right back to sleep. Sure is great to be home!!

Then, it was time to get dressed (well, at least for my first outfit of the day...I had a few "accidents.") and hang out at home with Daddy & Mommy. Averie is spending a few days with Opa & Oma and Mr. Adam & Mrs. Deirdre, so I get to have a few days alone with Daddy & Mommy. We'll miss Averie, but it'll be great to have that alone time with Daddy & Mommy!

You would think by this picture that Daddy & I were up all night together, but we weren't. We were just enjoying a good nap in the recliner! :)
Same day, another outfit :) I had my first pee pee accident on Mommy today, so I got to change clothes again...this outfit is from my Uncle Blair & Aunt Brittany! And, I got to swing in my swing for the first time today...I LOVED it!
